BEAUTIFUL CRYING

Sometimes when I’m sad
For a stupid self-pitying reason
I say what I’m sad about out loud in French
And it sounds beautiful because I am triste
And sitting by a window as the sun sets
And wearing something special made of lace
And when I cry it is beautiful crying
And the tears I cry are very expensive
And an unusual kind of music plays
And it’s in black and white
And everyone who watches it says
That beautiful girl has a legitimate reason to be sad
And women all over the world rush to salons
And ask for the haircut I had
